Kettlebell Goblet Squat Curl Exercise
This movement combines a goblet squat and a curl to tax the body and multiple movement patterns. By performing the curl at the bottom of the position it not only adds an exercise to the lift, but also reinforces a strong squat with a long spine.
Step 1: Two hand clean a kettlebell to the horned goblet squat position.
Step 2: Maintaining a long spine and proud chest squat to full depth without an exaggerated posterior pelvic tilt.
Step 3: Aim for the ground between your feet with your groin as you lower yourself down.
Step 4: At the bottom of the movement while staying strong lower the kettlebell until your arms are straight and then curl it back up.
Step 5: Stand up and repeat.
Tips and Safety: Select a weight that will allow you to perform the curl properly without momentum or straining. Avoid rounding or leaning while performing the clean. Keep a strong foundation by rooting yourself to the ground with your feet throughout the movement.
